Hector is an entrepreneur with a passion for horticulture.  He was raised in Hunt, TX where he attended Hunt Elementary School and Ingram high school. While in high school Hector enjoyed playing tennis and joined the tennis team. Upon graduation Hector immediately enrolled in Palo Alto College where he pursued an Associates degree in Landscape and horticulture in Applied Science. Palo Alto College taught him the principles of business management, landscape business operations, irrigation water management, and landscape irrigation, which he applies every day at COD. In addition in 2015 Hector successfully met the academic Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society membership requirements and received an academic excellence award, which was a huge honor and made his family very proud.

Hector has always been hard working and dedicated whether it was in school or work.  While in High School on nights and weekends Hector worked in the family business to help his father. It was while working with his father that he became passionate about horticulture and landscaping.

While in college Hector also worked at the San Antonio River Authority in the landscape maintenance department. At the San Antonio River Authority he learned how to navigate the corporate world and gained hands-on landscaping maintenance experience.

While attending Palo Alto College Hector met Eliseo Rios in 2013, he is the Founder of Parklane Landscaping a HOA landscape specialist. Eliseo saw Hector’s potential and offered him a job as a Landscape Account Coordinator and of course Hector accepted and worked for Parklane Landscaping for three years. While working at Parklane Landscaping Hector learned how to lead a crew, teamwork, about HOA’s, customer service, and even more about irrigation and landscaping.

Another milestone for Hector was obtaining his Irrigation license, which he obtained in 2014 and continues to maintain today.

While continuing to look for growth Hector stumbled upon an opportunity at SPSD, Inc. in Arlington, Texas and Hector accepted a job offer from SPSD in January of 2016 and moved to Arlington, Texas.  At SPSD he learned how to estimate jobs and gained tons of experience, but after one full year he started to miss home and returned to Hunt, TX in 2017 to work in the family business again.

While working in the family business Hector managed the landscaping services while his brother and dad managed the concrete and masonry services.  While working for the family business the first three months upon his return Hector discovered that the business needed a brand presence and more structure.  So, Hector went ahead and hired a professional business consulting firm, Brand Panacea Enterprise, LLC.  The first step was to create an official business name and register it with the county and state, which BPE helped with. Secondly, BPE helped with creating a mini-business plan and company goals for the first year.  By April of 2017 a logo and brand were created, and Complete Outdoor Development was born.  The family business was merged into COD and collaboratively Hector, his brother, Heriberto, Dad, Jose, and Business Consultant, Sabrina work together to continue to grow Complete Outdoor Development, LLC.
